TL;DR: FinVantage is designed with privacy at its core. All your financial data stays on
your device. We don't collect, store, or share your personal financial information.
1. Information We Don't Collect
FinVantage is an offline-first application. We do NOT collect:
- Your transaction history
- Bank account details
- Personal financial information
- SMS or notification content
- Location data
2. Data Storage
All your financial data is stored locally on your device using secure SQLite databases. This data never
leaves your device and is not synced to any cloud service.
3. Permissions We Request
FinVantage may request the following permissions:
- Notification Access: To automatically detect transactions from banking apps (optional,
privacy-respecting)
- Camera: To scan receipts (optional)
- Storage: To import bank statements (optional)
All processing happens locally on your device.
4. Third-Party Services
FinVantage uses the following third-party services:
- Google AdMob: For displaying advertisements. AdMob may collect device identifiers for
ad personalization. You can opt out in your device settings.
- Firebase Crashlytics: For anonymous crash reporting to improve app stability.
5. AI Processing
All AI features (categorization, insights, predictions) run entirely on your device using on-device machine
learning models. No data is sent to external servers for processing.
6. Data Security
Your data is protected by:
- Device-level encryption
- Local-only storage
- No cloud synchronization
7. Children's Privacy
FinVantage is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
